Sydney Blue Gum is a well-known timber found on the east coast of Australia. It has a straight grain with a small percentage showing some interlocking grain. Its distinctive colour varies from soft pinks to dark pinks and red browns. The sapwood is typically distinctly paler in colour. Gum vein and gum pockets are common.
